First Look at Mad Max: Fury Road

The inspiration for post-apocalyptic films from the past 30 years is about to return to the big screen. Mad Max: Fury Road will be George Miller’s return to the desolate world of fuel shortages, punk rock terrorists and Lord of the Flies-theme park rides in almost 30 years. This time Tom Hardy will portray Max Rockatansky, the role that made Mel Gibson famous, in a story that’s said to take place between the second and third films.
Charize Theron joins the cast as one-armed Imperator Furiosa, a “bad-ass commander” according to Entertainment Weekly which is part of their latest cover story with four exclusive pics from the sequel. We are still 10 months away from its release date, but after years of development hell and rumors, the film looks as promising as its three predecessors.
Miller states: “I wanted to tell a linear story–a chase that starts as the movie begins and continues for 110 minutes. In this crucible of very intense action, the characters are revealed.”
Sounds like a plan. This is one franchise I am looking forward to return to.
