Bachelor Party

Variety reported on October  21, 2014 that ABC-TV has ordered a pilot of a half-hour Anthology series based on Tom Hanks raunchy 1984 comedy Bachelor Party.

Produced by Small Dog Picture Co., the Walcott Company and 20th Century Fox Television, the series will “examine relationships and the institution of marriage through the lens of three couples: one about to get married, another recently divorced and a third just falling in love. They will experience the trial-by-fire that is the modern day, co-ed bachelor/bachelorette extravaganza.”

The series is co-created by JJ Philbin and Josh Malmuth with Jason Winer, Max Winkler, Jake Johnson and Renate Radford are the Executive Producers and Mary Lee is Producer. Winer and Winkler will also be directing the series.

A long forgotten in-name-only straight-to-video sequel was released in  2008, Bachelor Party 2: The Last Temptation.
