Mary Poppins

On September 16, 2015, it was reported that a live action sequel to the 1964 film Mary Poppins is in development. Rob Marshall has been hired to direct the film, which will take place about 20 years after the original, which was set in Edwardian London. The new film will take place duringĀ  the Great Depression of the 1930’s, and take its inspiration from all eight novels of PL Travers series of books about the no-nonsense but magical nanny, originally portrayed by Julie Andrews in the Oscar winning film.
