Am I the only one excited about Guardians of the Galaxy? For those not in the know, this is Marvel Comics 10^th installment of their cinematic universe and the first of a new franchise. Director James Gunn’s film will be based on the second incarnation of the Guardians from 2008, not the original publication from 1969 and the first Marvel feature film not based on characters created by Stan Lee.

This is what we know about the plot: Earth orphan Peter Quill, leads a group of freaky aliens on the run for stealing an orb from the psychotic Ronan. The ragtag team of interstellar heroes includes Gamora, Rocket, Drax the Destroyer and Groot.  The true power of the orb is revealed to be a greater danger than expected, and it’s up to the Guardians to save the galaxy.
