The third film of the horror franchise that started with Gore Verbinski’s remake of the Japanese hit RIngu has been in development for several years. Despite the tepid reviews of the American prequel The Ring Two, the film made over $160 million in 2005. The third film was set to open on November 13, 2015, but Paramount removed it from its busy autumn slate.
