Its been almost ten years since Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller colloborated on the gritty and stylistic Sin City. Now hosting  on MTV, IMDb, IGN, EW and Fandango are five character posters for the upcoming followup, Sin City: A Dame to Die For, out August 22.

Jessica Alba reprises her role as Nancy Callahan in a Frank Miller-penned short story that will debut in the film. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is card gambler Johnny in the original short story “The Long Bad Night.” Newcomer Josh Brolin will be Dwight McCarthy, the same anti-hero played by Clive Owen in the original, this time in a prequel story and before some “reconstructive surgery.” Makeup havy Mickey Rourke returns as well as Rosario Dawson as Gail, the leader of the girls in Old Town.
